Pillars of Hope expresses a struggle between stability and energy, between strength and resiliency, between the static and the ever-changing. When the temptation to grasp at things known and understood distracts from embracing the process that takes us into more and more life.
Pillars of Hope is composed of vertical bands of textured, ragged off-white, alternating with bands of vibrant multi-layered color. Both take turns coming to to forefront, inviting the viewer find their own place in the composition, in the process of change.
